Weaver Partners with Grand Strand Miracle League: “Handicap Stalls for a Cause”

May

North Myrtle Beach-based contractor, Weaver Construction Services, improves and preserves asphalt and pavement as well as concrete and drainage functionality for residential communities, HOAs, property managers, and commercial property owners in the Carolinas. They work with clients to develop new layout parking lots and re-stripe existing parking lots for businesses and communities in the Carolinas in order to improve aesthetics, visibility and safety, re-design, and to meet strict and ever-changing ADA codes.

With that, Weaver Construction Services installs and re-paints handicap parking spaces every day and hoped to do so with a bigger purpose in 2018. For every handicap parking space that the company painted and/or repainted in 2018, they donated $1 to the Grand Strand Miracle League – they are proud to announce they were able to donate $1,000 this year.

“We’re excited to work with the Grand Strand Miracle League,” says Jason Weaver, co-owner of Weaver Construction Services. “We saw this as an opportunity to give back to our community and contribute to sports and special needs in a meaningful, tangible way. Nothing is more motivating for us than doing it for these kids.”

The check was presented to the Grand Strand Miracle League on Saturday, May 11th at their season-ending baseball game held at 690 33rd Avenue North in Myrtle Beach. Daniel Weaver got to throw the first pitch and both brothers participated on the field with the players.

“Being able to contribute to making physical sports a reality for special needs children in the Grand Strand is close to our heart,” says Daniel Weaver, co-owner. “Growing up, we played soccer, football and golf and to be able to facilitate that same fun recreation and sense of pride for these children in our own unique way is really cool.”

Fueled by generous community support and a passionate Board, an ADA approved, adapted baseball field was constructed. The rubberized surface of the field is perfect for wheelchairs and walkers, making it the ideal place to start a league with the following rules: Everyone Plays. Everyone Crosses Home Plate.
