Estimator/Project Manager

Weaver Construction Services is seeking an experienced Estimator to work out of their Longs, SC office. The candidate should have a minimum of 2-4 years experience in the estimating field, specifically asphalt/pavement and pavement markings. Candidate should be a self-starter with a degree in Engineering or equivalent.

Must possess:

• Time management skills in order to meet time-critical deadlines
• A proactive approach
• 2 to 4 years of estimating experience preferred
• Strong computation, mathematical, and computer skills.
• Experience in MS Office with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent time management skills, organizational skills, and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to read and successfully bid RFP’s and assist in managing project.
• Able to work independently, self-motivated, and willing to ask questions.
• A valid SC driver’s license
• A Degree in Engineering or equivalent

Responsibilities:

• Gather and compile take-off data for use in developing accurate, competitive, and profitable bid proposals for a variety of asphalt and striping services
• Maintain relationships with key contacts
• Meet with customers and potential customers and provide accurate proposals
• Read, analyze, and interpret bid documents
• Maintain a “team player” attitude with the ability to thrive in a family-owned company
• Accurately assess project conditions and scope of work
• Respond to customer RFPs and concerns in an appropriate and timely manner
